Q1a. Do you offer, for hire, your own Caravan accomodation?
Yes. SmartBookers does own two Caravans at Primrose Valley Caravan Park. We do, however, list a large number of other Caravans available for hire across the UK so you will find a wide variety of options.

Q2a. Does it cost me anything to book a holiday through this web site?
No. The price that is displayed by the person listing their Caravan is the price you pay. We do not charge you for making a booking through this web site. What we can do is take the deposit on behalf of the Caravan owner to ensure that both parties move toward a completed transaction as soon as possible.

Q3a. Can you guarantee my holiday will be perfect?
We only list the Caravans which the owners have indicated are available to hire. We do not take any responsibility for the holiday once it is passed directly onto the Caravans owner. They will contact you direct once you have made a reservation to confirm the booking. Suitability of any particular park or Caravans is the responsibility of the person booking. If you are in ant doubt as to the suitability of any Caravans or park, we would encourage you to contact the owner or the park advertised for more information prior to reserving your holiday.

Q4a. When is a confirmed booking made?
Once you are happy with your selection, you can make a reservation by paying a deposit through our website. We contact the owner whom will confirm the booking to you. At this stage, we will take a payment from your debit/credit card and pass this to the owner, minus a small handling fee. Once payment has been made, the booking is confirmed. Once confirmed, the contract exists between yourself and the owner.

Q5a. Do you offer Caravan holiday insurance?
Not at present, please ensure you have adequate holiday insurance cover for your stay.

Each caravan listing is dIfferent in respect of these. Please check the details of each listing and contact the owner/site If necessary.

Answers for those wanting to list their Caravan

Q1b. How much does it cost to list my Caravan ?
It's completely FREE to list your static caravan for hire. There are NO registration or annual charges. Simply add your personal details and complete the online form to add your caravan and availability/pricing to the site... and thats it!
We now offer a Premier Service at a cost of £24 per annum offering a number of additional options.

Q2b. How do you make your money from me then?
As it is free for your standard listing, your very own web page containing text, graphics, photos etc, constant updates and submission to search engines then we do charge a £10 booking fee every time a successful booking is made through this web site. This is deducted as a 'handling fee' from the deposit a customer makes.
We also charge £24 per annum for the Premier Service.

Q3b. What information can I put on my listing?
The listing comprises of some fixed information (such as facilities etc), area for photos and a section to list availability and pricing. In addition, a freeform text area is provided for you to add addition information specific to your accommodation or park. It is important that you state any holiday restrictions (e.g. single sex) as the contract will exist beween the customer and yourself.

Q4b. When is a confirmed booking made?
Following a reservation form the customer, we will contact you and ask you to confirm the booking to us and the customer. Once this has been done, a contract exists between yourself and the customer. We will pass the deposit to yourself minus a small handling fee.

Q5b. How do I receive the booking from a customer?
Bookings are made through an online form that is filled in by the customer with all the information you require. We then pass on the information to you, except contact details, and If you would like to accept the booking we immediately pass all the contact details onto you to confirm it with the customer. If you are already booked on the dates given or refuse the booking then we get back to the customer with the reason why and refund full deposit.

However, you are expected to maintain the availability and pricing up to date and your service on the site may be removed If you fail to do so and customers provide negative feedback.

Q6b. What If a customer backs out at the last minute and I have already paid you?
Once you have confirmed to the customer that the booking is confirmed, a contract is made between yourself and the customer. At this stage, it is at your discretion whether to re-imburse the customer, but no refund can be processed by SmartBookers Ltd.

Q7b. Can I get preference over other Caravans in the same categories?
Sorry but as the service is no cost, the units are listed on a weighting system to match customers requirements. There is no facility to sponsor a higher rating although all Premier Owners will have a slightly higher weighting added. As we use an advanced search facility it is very unlikely a search would results in hundreds of listings been displayed. Usually one page of listings are displayed at a time due to the customers search preferences.

Q8b. What happens If I want to constantly update my listing?
One of the great advantages of the Smartbookers website is that you are in FULL control of updates so you can make as many changes as you wish when you want. The amount of information you publish is left up to yourself as is the level of sophistication created in your page. Although the updating of your web page is very straight forward we are always there to help with those more advanced elements.
